Tuition fees at Nantes Université
Our inclusive tuition policy
At Nantes Université, we believe that quality education should be accessible to everyone. That's why our Board of Directors made the decision to apply the same tuition fees to all students - whether you're from France, the European Union, or any country in the world.
For diplomas earned at French public universities, tuition fees are set by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research and the French Ministry of Economy and Finance. These nationally regulated fees ensure standardised costs across all French public institutions while maintaining educational quality and accessibility. Under French regulations, non-EU students may be required to pay differentiated tuition fees when enrolling for the first time in Bachelor's, Master's, or engineering programmes at French higher education institutions (€2,850 per year for Bachelor's degrees and €3,879 per year for Master's degrees).
In accordance with our Board of Directors' decision from 25 February 2019, Nantes Université has chosen to grant partial exemption from tuition fees for non-EU students enrolling for the first time in French higher education, maintaining the same low fees for all students regardless of their nationality or origin. In addition, exchange students are generally exempt from tuition fees and CVEC. This policy reflects our commitment to openness, diversity, and educational equity.
A few Master's degrees, such as Erasmus Mundus and Polytech's International Master, apply specific tuitions fees (see table for details).
Nantes Université maintains the same rigorous academic standards and excellent teaching quality regardless of tuition costs. Our professors are renowned researchers and experts in their fields, our facilities are state-of-the-art, and our programs are internationally recognised.
