Innovative proposals thanks to close collaboration with our researchers.

On the initiative of GO-EV (Grand Ouest Extracellular Vesicles Network), We launched a brand new training course for our PhD students in June 2024: ‘Extracellular Vesicles (EVs): Isolation, Characterisation and Use’. The course aims to provide an overview of the technologies and different methods used for the production, enrichment, characterisation and use of extracellular vesicles derived from cells or plasma.

Opinions from our PhDs

Emmaëlle Carrot These courses, which should not be overlooked, have enabled me to enrich my thesis by introducing new methodologies and perspectives. They prepare students for life after their thesis by facilitating professional integration and strengthening the transferable skills that are highly sought after in the job market. Science Day

Every year, the Doctoral School of Biology and Health (to which you belong) organises its Science Day, which is compulsory at least once during the three years of your PhD.
You are required to present a poster and, depending on the committee's selection, an oral presentation.
Registration can be done on the dedicated website here.
The Science Day allows you to obtain 5 hours of doctoral training without registering on Améthis.

How does participating in this day benefit my thesis?

  • Practise presenting your work orally in English
  • Meet doctoral students from other fields
  • Meet professionals from the private and academic sectors
  • Exchange ideas and network.

How can I get involved in organising these days?

A call for volunteers is sent to all doctoral students at the start of the academic year in September/October each year to join the organising committee.
This means: attending monthly meetings, taking on one of the tasks on offer (communication, finding speakers, logistics, etc.).
15 hours of training are allocated to doctoral students who are members of the committee.

Participation in national or international conferences

We strongly encourage you to attend conferences and give an oral presentation in English. This is excellent training and an opportunity to expand your professional network.

Oral participation in a conference allows you to obtain equivalent training hours. Find out more
